How do I use Wireless PowerShare feature of Galaxy Fold (Hong-Kong version)?

You can charge another device with Galaxy Fold (Hong-Kong version)’s battery. You can still charge another device even while charging your device.
Depending on the type of accessories or cover being used, the Wireless PowerShare feature may not work properly. It is recommended to remove any accessories and cover being used before using this feature.

Please Note : Do not use earphones while sharing power. Doing so may affect nearby devices.

1 Open the notification panel and tap Wireless PowerShareicon to activate it.

2 Place the other device on the center of your device, with their backs facing each other. Fold the device before charging the battery.
• When charging starts, a notification sound or vibration will occur.
• The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device model. Adjust the devices to connect with each other properly.
• Some features are not available while sharing power.

3 When you finish charging, disconnect the other device from your device.

Please note:
• Only devices that support the wireless charging feature can be charged using this feature. Some devices may not be charged.
• To charge properly, do not move or use either device while charging.
• The power charged to the other device may be less than the amount shared to it by your device.
• If you charge the other device while charging your device, the charging speed may decrease or the device may not charge properly depending on the charger type.
• The charging speed or efficiency may vary depending on the device’s condition or the surrounding environment.
• If the remaining battery power drops below a certain level, power sharing will stop.

Supports WPC Qi certified smartphone products and Samsung wearable devices

   •  Phones: Samsung or other brand smartphones that support wireless charging (WPC Qi-certified devices). Different devices may charge at different speeds.

   •  In case of Wearable, limited to Samsung wearable devices (Samsung Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, Gear Sport, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Buds)

 

May not work with certain accessories, covers, or other brand devices. May affect call reception or data services, depending on your network environment.

※  Charging is stopped to prevent draining the Galaxy Fold’s battery when its battery level is below 30% (Dual Charging is irrelevant to the limit).

Depending on the type of accessories or cover being used, the feature may not work properly. It is recommended to remove any accessories and cover being used before using this feature. The feature may not work properly with other brand smartphones in certain circumstances and some devices may not work by their condition or limitation.

You can charge another device with your Galaxy Fold battery by using the Wireless PowerShare feature.

Wireless charging efficiency depends on the distance between wireless charging coils embedded in the devices.

Depending on the type or thickness of accessories and cover being used on your device, the Wireless PowerShare feature may not work properly. It is recommended removing any accessories and cover being used before using this feature.

If there are foreign materials, such as dust or liquid, between devices, please try again after removing them.

- Wireless PowerShare feature requires using with smartphones or batteries with WPC Qi wireless charging function. Battery Pack sold separately.
- Actual battery life varies by network environment, features and apps used, frequency of calls and messages, number of times charged, and many other factors.
- Medical and magnetic devices such an artificial cardiac pacemaker and a defibrillator may be sensitive to magnets. Do keep Galaxy Fold (the “Device”) a safe distance from them and consult your physician before you use the Device.
- Magnetic objects, such as credit cards, passbooks, access cards, boarding passes, or parking passes, may be damaged or disabled by the magnets in the Device. Keep a safe distance between the Device and magnetic objects. Do not place the Device near magnetic fields.
- Do not remove the protective layer on the main screen while using the Device and do not attach any adhesives such as protectors or stickers. If you remove the protective layer, the main screen will be damaged.
- When folding the Device, do not place any objects, such as cards, coins, or keys, on the screen. The screen may be damaged.
- The crease at the center of the main screen is the characteristic of new Polymer materials. The crease does not affect the display’s quality, lifespan and performance and will not hinder the experience while using the Device or viewing content.
