Time-Saving
Tips

Work smarter, not harder, for the free time you deserve.

With 24 hours in the day and an ever-growing to-do list, effective time management can be your saving grace. But how do you get it all done without losing your mind? Here are a few simple tips on how to work smart so you can enjoy some time to yourself.

1

Less media, more socializing

We all instinctively pick up our phones and check social media without even noticing. So much time is dedicated to emails, cat videos and everything in between. Time-saving apps like THRIVE will help you take back control of your time without the distraction and temptation of checking your phone, so you can focus on what matters most. TIP
Write everything down first to get it all out, then circle the most time-urgent tasks and work from there.
2

Prioritize your to-do list

We get it: your to-do list is getting longer by the second and there’s simply not enough time in the day to get it all done. A little strategy can go a long way. Do any of your tasks sync up with each other? Can any be done at the same time? What absolutely must be done today vs. tomorrow? Prioritizing your tasks will go a long way towards knocking them out more efficiently.

3

Set timers to stay on track

Some tasks don’t have a definitive end, so for more abstract to-dos like “tidy up the living room,” try setting a timer. Need to study up for that quiz or presentation? Set your clock for how long you want to dedicate to that task. Once time’s up, move on to the next. This is also a great mental trick to keep you honest and on task.

4

Respect your “me time”

Now it’s time to pencil in a little time for the true VIP: yourself. Scheduling your me time (and sticking to it) is a necessary step in self-care and helps avoid potential burn-out. Start with simply blocking off time in your calendar for the small but personal things, like an at-home facial or starting that book you’ve put off. Give yourself the same attention you apply to work, errands and your family.

5

Keep your routine, keep your sanity

Routines help give your life more meaning and balance. No matter how creative you may be, your brain craves a little structure. So trust the process and stick to the methods that help get the job done while saving a little time for yourself too.
